Glue starch additive for corrugated cardboard
It is a liquid auxiliary agent used for starch preparations, based on synthetic polymers. It works on various levels affecting the quality of the adhesive. The product intervenes in the kinetics of adhesive solidification, modifying the rheological parameters of the starch, improving the efficiency of thermal exchange, adhesion and cohesion values, which, together with higher paper permeability, allow homogeneous distribution.
BOOSTER4
is added in the final stage of starch glue preparation. It is usually added with metering pumps (diaphragm pump, piston pump, etc.). The product dosage can vary from 3 to 5% depending on the dry weight of the starch, depending on the specifications of the corrugating machine, the type of paper and the characteristics of the final product.

Key production figures:

MITSUBIHI
Maximum machine speed:
- Single surface without additive 270 m/min
- Single surface with BOOSTER4 350 m/min
- BC without additive 220 m/min
- BC with BOOSTER4 280 n/min
The required temperature was lowered with BOOSTER4 from an initial 180°C to a final 130°C.
On average, adhesive consumption on a single surface was reduced from 9g/m2 to 7.5g/m2
% savings on this item:
- Speed m/min: +29.6% / +27.3%
- Temperature °C: -27.8%
